I just found this work by accident and I totally love it!
What I probably like most is the focus here. I like the bokeh effect in the background and the unsharp parts of the leave. Even though a picture of a leaf with sparkling drops isn't something new, the focus gives this interesting feel to it.
A second thing I really like are the colors. They are so vibrant and strong, yet they feel calm and cool. The leaf is the point of attention even though there is not much of a great color contrast - that's awesome! I like the kind of gradient flow too.
One thing I would probably have changed is the overall composition, means the crop. Square fits this nicely, but you put the main subject completely symmetric in the middle of the frame. You could have tried to put it on the top or the bottom to create more excitement. In addition I think it would have been nice too to have a normal 2:3 crop with a lot more bokeh space at the left or right to create the same effect. I can only imagine here, but I guess it would be interesting to try maybe with a different shot of this series?!
Overall I really like this picture - as I said! The colors, the number of drops - nice
